3 coffee cocktails to cool down with in a heatwave

This week it’s going to be sunny and hot in London, so why not prepare some delicious coffee cocktails?

If you want to mix up your usual night out but with a twist, here are three recipes you might like

These are recipes for a delicious coffee-based cocktails, which you can use to impress your friends and family.

All three of these cocktails are pretty easy to make. No mixology knowledge required!

#1 – Comforting Coffee

  • 1 cup ice cubes coffee liquor
  • ½ cup coffee syrup (rich coffee flavor)
  • 1½ ounces amaretto liqueur
  • 1½ ounces reamy coffee liqueur
  • 1½ ounces Irish whiskey

Instructions: Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake well and strain into a glass over fresh ice.

Cream-based liqueur, such as Baileys would work very well.

#1 – Coffee Colada

This coffee cocktail is for those who like to party. It is a mixture of coffee, rum and coconut that will keep your head buzzing. But be warned from those who have already tried it, it seems the hangover will be longer than your average!

  • 1 shot (30ml) coffee liqueur

Top this up with

  •      1/2 cup (125ml) of coffee ice cream

Garnish this with whipped cream and some shaved chocolate. You can also add a dash of vanilla extract if you want to make this taste even better.

Instructions: Mix all ingredients in a blender until smooth. Pour into glasses and serve immediately.

#3. Jamaican Coffee 

1. Dissolve 1 cup of sugar in 1 cup of hot water.

For this one, you will need the following ingredients: 

  • 2 oz gin
  • 2 tsp powdered sugar
  • 2 tsp Benedictine liqueur
  • 3/4 cup pineapple juice
  • 1/8 tsp grated nutmeg

Instructions: Mix all ingredients in a shaker and pour into glasses filled with ice cubes. Garnish this drink with a slice of pineapple and serve immediately.
